Children Travelling Alone (UNMs)

Children are always our special guests. We work hard to make them feel comfortable onboard our aircraft. For all traveling children aged between 5 to 12 and traveling alone, we offer a safe and secure Unaccompanied Minor (UNM) Service for INR 1500/- one way on our flights. Our young guests are picked up by our friendly staff at check-in, given a UNM bag to hang around the neck containing all important travel documents then escorted through security checks and onto the aircraft. On arrival, they are handed over to our ground staff who ensures they are delivered to the person designated by you. Your children are under constant supervision along the entire journey for your peace of mind. If you would like to avail this service you can contact our Call Centre or directly approach our check-in counter with the following details:

  • Flight number and date.
  • Age and name of your child.
  • Name and contact details of the person accompanying or come to receive the child.

The carriage of an expectant mother is subject to the following conditions:

Period of Pregnancy Conditions
Up to and including 27 weeks The expectant mother may be accepted for travel provided that there are no prior complications. Fitness to fly certificate is not required.
Between 28 to 32 weeks A fitness to fly certificate issued within 2 weeks prior to the date of travel from the treating obstetrician is required. Cases of multiple pregnancy/complicated single pregnancies are not allowed.
Between 33 to 35 weeks A Fitness to fly certificate issued within 24 hrs prior to the date of travel from the treating obstetrician is required. Cases of multiple pregnancy /complicated single pregnancies are not allowed.
Above 35 weeks Not allowed to travel.

Statement of Requirements

We share our experience in continuously improving ourselves ensuring that our disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility can have a joyful and safe journey. Star Air has been attempting to meet these demands/requirements of disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility.

Ticket Booking and Service Request

You need to inform us by contacting and registering your requests at our call center at least 48 hours prior to the flight along with your confirmed ticket bookings, this will enable us to deliver the best services that meet your demands. The approval for your service requests will be notified to you via e-mail.

Online Check-in

Passengers that require/desire special service (for instance wheelchair request, guiding dog transportation, etc.) or the disabled passengers that use assisting equipment (wheelchair, medical equipment, etc.) with reduced mobility cannot use online check-in service. Only the disabled passengers or passengers with reduced mobility that do not require/request a special service or that don’t use assisting equipment can use online check-in service.
